Received 'no' from Alaskan Airlines & Hawaiian Air...most likely we will move up our #2 Prize to #1 and include $100 to the "Shopping Spree" prize.

Contacted others for donations such as 'Trader Joes' in Rockridge and A.C.T. for theater tickets in SF. We have pretty much solicited the 2nd & 3rd prize items...but, waiting for commitments on the grand prize from Hawaiian Airlines & a Maui hotel....

Donation Request forms went to the Kamapoli Beach Resort & Hawaiian Air & Cheesecake Factory (union sq) on 7/29/09; Keeping my fingers crossed for responses within 30 days.

Current Activities

Oliveto's Restaurant currently has a moratorium on donations as they have met their quota for the year; Currently setting up requests with department stores ie. Macy's and Nordstroms. Will keep you posted.

Wow! Received a commitment today from the Opal Hotel in Civic Center. Donated 2 certificates for our event (2 nights & parking)

#6. The difficult thing about setting up a Fundraiser is that you need to get everyone to participate. I contacted a high end restaurant 3 days ago and was told to contact the manager tonight. I will also let the manager know that I will donate a raffle ticket for the grand prize.

#5. Some ideas concerning the Grand prize - Alaskan Air is coming to the Oakland/SFO to Maui market, so now I think Hawaiian Air will be most competitive. I noted AA at $169/one way and HA at $171/one way.

#3 - Introduction about Computer Technologies Program

CTP (www.ctpberk.org) has been expanding employment opportunities for people with disabilities since 1975. CTP is operates its 'Network & Technical Support' & 'Office Systems' vocational training at 2002 Addison Street, Suite 201, Berkeley, CA 94704. CTP has been financially supported by the California Dept. of Rehabilitation for over 30 years. In July, 2008, the support system was restructured. CTP is requesting support from the general public to  help them continue this very valuable service to people with disabilities.
